Osteosarcoma

Osteosarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bones. It typically affects teens and young adults and is the most common primary malignancy of bone. It is characterized by uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that form a mass or tumor within the bone. Osteosarcoma is an aggressive cancer that, if left untreated, can spread to surrounding tissues and other parts of the body. Treatment usually involves surgery to remove the cancerous tissue, followed by chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
