Hodgkin's Disease
Hodgkin's disease is a type of lymphoma, a cancer that affects the cells of the lymphatic system. It is characterized by the presence of a particular type of cell, the Reed-Sternberg cell. Symptoms of Hodgkin’s disease can include swelling of the lymph nodes, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. Treatment for Hodgkin’s disease can involve chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or stem cell transplant. With early detection and treatment, Hodgkin’s disease is often curable.
