Gait Analysis
Gait analysis is the process of assessing how a person moves when walking or running. It involves the use of specialized tools and techniques to study the body's movements and the underlying skeletal, muscular and neural functions. By looking at the way the body moves, it is possible to identify various abnormalities and get an indication of a person’s health and biomechanical state. Gait analysis helps to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions, identify and treat balance deficits, and helps in developing effective rehabilitation programs. It is also used to identify and address performance issues in athletes, such as running technique and force production. Gait analysis has become an incredibly helpful tool in physical therapy and has helped to improve the health and wellbeing of countless individuals.
