Organ Donation
Organ donation is the process in which a person, upon their death, donates their organs and/or tissues to another individual to improve the health of the recipient. Organs and tissues that may be donated include the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and pancreas, as well as tissues such as corneas, skin, bone and heart valves. Organ donation is a life-saving process and has helped many individuals receive a second chance at life. It is also an important contribution to medicine and research, and it can significantly reduce the wait times for individuals who are in need of a transplant. With the rise of awareness on the need for organ donors, more and more individuals are making the decision to sign up to be organ donors and make a difference in the lives of others.
