Lymphocytosis

Lymphocytosis is a condition where the level of lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) in the blood is higher than normal. It is a sign of infection or inflammation in the body. It can also be caused by certain types of cancer, such as leukemia, or by certain types of autoimmune diseases. Treatment for lymphocytosis depends on its underlying cause but, in general, aims to treat the infection or inflammation and reduce the number of lymphocytes. Early detection and treatment of lymphocytosis is important for ensuring better outcomes for the patient.
