Leukocytosis

Leukocytosis is a medical condition caused by an increase in the number of white blood cells present in the blood. It is usually a sign of infection or inflammation, and can also occur in response to physical or emotional stress, allergic reactions, and certain medications. Leukocytosis is usually diagnosed with a complete blood count, and treatment is based on the underlying cause. Knowing whether a person has leukocytosis can help guide healthcare professionals towards the appropriate diagnosis and treatment, allowing for timely and effective care.
