Arteriosclerosis

Arteriosclerosis is a medical condition where the arteries become hardened and narrowed due to an accumulation of plaque in the vessel walls. It is usually caused by lifestyle factors such as smoking, high cholesterol and hypertension, and can lead to serious complications such as coronary heart disease and stroke. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential in reducing the risk and incidence of these complications, and can include lifestyle modification, medication and surgical interventions.
