Arrhythmias
Arrhythmias are irregular heart rhythms that occur when the heart beats too slow, too fast, or with an uneven rhythm. They can range from minor to life-threatening. They can occur suddenly or manifest over time. Arrhythmias are a major cause of sudden cardiac death and can lead to heart failure, stroke, and other complications. Treatment options vary, depending on the type and severity of the arrhythmia. Treatment may include medication, lifestyle changes, or even surgery. The goal of treatment is to reduce symptoms and help the heart function normally. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to a favorable outcome.
