Transgenics
Transgenics is the term used to describe the process of introducing or transferring genetic material from one species to another. It is a form of genetic engineering that has become increasingly popular due to its potential to produce plants and animals with specific desired characteristics. In agricultural applications, transgenics can help to create new varieties of crops that are more resistant to disease, require less water and fertilizer, and produce higher yields. It has also been used to create animals such as cows and pigs that are resistant to diseases and produce more meat or milk than their conventional counterparts. In addition, transgenics has potential applications in the development of new medicines, disease treatments, and personalized diagnostic tests.
