Pharmacology and Toxicology

Pharmacology and toxicology are scientific disciplines that study the effects of chemicals on biological systems. Pharmacology focuses on the use of chemical substances for therapeutic purposes, while toxicology studies the harmful effects of chemical compounds on living organisms. Both disciplines are essential for understanding the safety and efficacy of drugs, chemicals, and other substances used in medical and industrial settings. Pharmacology and toxicology are also necessary in drug development, medical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring. By improving our understanding of how chemicals interact with the human body, we can develop better treatments and predict the potential harm of environmental pollutants.
