Clustered Protocadherin

Clustered Protocadherin (CPC) is a group of proteins that modulate cell-cell adhesion in animals. CPCs interact through multimeric complexes and play a crucial role in development, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity of neurons. They also have a role in the formation of tissue-specific cell adhesion and morphogenesis. CPCs are associated with multiple diseases, and their dysregulation contributes to the progression of cancer. Thus, they are a potential target for therapeutic treatment.
