Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry
Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry is the scientific study of the biochemical processes that occur within and between cells. It seeks to understand the structure, function and interactions of molecules so as to explain the complex processes that enable the body to survive, from the the basic chemistry of metabolism to the regulation of gene expression. Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry provides a foundation for the understanding of disease and the development of new therapeutic treatments. It is applied in many areas of medicine, including cancer treatment, immunology, neuroscience, and reproductive health. Its study is fundamental for further progress in medical and biological research, as well as providing potential applications in biotechnology.
