Impacts of Climate Change
Climate change is a global phenomenon which has a range of impacts on the environment, human health, biodiversity and the economy. It is caused by the release of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane, which trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to warming of the planet. The effects of climate change are far-reaching and can be felt across a variety of different areas. This can include changes in weather patterns, increases in extreme weather events, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, and disruptions to food and water supplies. There are a number of measures being taken to address climate change and its impacts, such as reducing emissions, increasing renewable energy sources, and developing adaptation strategies. It is an issue of global significance that requires urgent attention.
