Aquaculture Resilence

Aquaculture resilience is the ability of a cultivated aquatic system or organism to respond to external environmental stressors. It is an important consideration for farmers, as it ensures the consistent and long-term productivity of their system. Aquaculture resilience allows farmers to modify the integrated systems so that they remain productive in the face of changing environmental conditions. It helps them to anticipate, recognize and react to environmental threats to their system, so that they are able to maintain productivity in the face of disturbances. At the same time, aquaculture resilience also ensures the maintenance of the aquatic ecosystem’s health and diversity. This resilience is essential for a sustainable future, as it allows the natural environment and the cultured species to thrive in a dynamic environment.
