Enteritis

Enteritis is an inflammatory condition of the small intestines that is commonly caused by infection, irritants, and other medical conditions. It leads to decreased absorption of nutrients and can cause severe abdominal pain and nausea. Enteritis can be acute, lasting only a few days, or chronic, lasting months or even years. Treatment includes dietary modifications, antibiotics, and probiotics to restore the balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestines. In severe cases, surgery may be required to remove areas of inflammation or to divert the intestines and bowel. Enteritis is a serious medical condition that requires prompt treatment to reduce the risk of long-term complications.
