Defense Proteins
Defense Proteins are specialized molecules found in all organisms that provide protection from pathogenic infections. This is done by recognizing and neutralizing foreign molecules in the body. Defense Proteins can also activate the immune system to fight foreign molecules. They are essential in helping to maintain our body's integrity, as well help prevent and/or treat various diseases. By recognizing and responding to changes in the environment, defense proteins can help keep the body healthy and functioning properly.
