Antibody Production
Antibodies are proteins produced by the immune system that are specific to a particular antigen, a molecule that triggers an immune response. Antibodies play an important role in protecting the body from infection by binding to and neutralizing foreign antigens and pathogens. Antibody production is the process by which antibodies are generated in response to a stimulus. This is essential for the development of a strong immune system and protection from disease. Antibodies are used in clinical diagnostics and therapeutics, including treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases, as well as for research to study the effects of different antigens.
