Spinal Anaesthesia

Spinal anaesthesia (also known as spinal block) is a type of regional anaesthesia involving injecting a local anaesthetic drug into the cerebrospinal fluid in the lumbar region of the spine to produce loss of sensation in the lower half of the body. It is used for a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures that require anaesthesia and muscle relaxation, in particular for lower abdominal, pelvic, and lower limb procedures. Spinal anaesthesia is a safe, reliable, and cost-effective form of anaesthesia that can provide optimal surgical conditions and help reduce patient anxiety. With proper precautions, it can be used for both short and long-term procedures.
