Obstetric Procedures
Obstetric procedures are medical interventions related to pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. These procedures can include assessing the health and well-being of the mother and fetus, monitoring vitals and progress of labour, managing complications that arise, and finally administering care during delivery. Obstetric procedures are important to the health and safety of both the mother and the baby. They help to ensure that labour progresses optimally and allow for necessary interventions if complications arise. Some common procedures include fetal monitoring, amniocentesis, caesarean section, and induction of labor, among others. Although all procedures are important in caring for the mother and infant, they must always be performed with great care and with the utmost respect for the patient’s autonomy and decisions.
