Neuraxial Block

Neuraxial block is a type of nerve block used in medical procedures to reduce pain and discomfort. It involves the use of a local anesthetic to temporarily disrupt nerve signals or block the transmission of pain signals between a certain region of the body and the brain. Neuraxial block has become a popular and effective form of regional anesthesia due to its advantages over traditional techniques. It can provide more comprehensive coverage of a particular region, duration of effect, and fewer side effects and complications during and after the procedure. Neuraxial blocks can be used for a variety of medical procedures including labor and delivery, orthopedic surgery, and cesarean section. It is also increasingly used for pain management and for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. As such, neuraxial block is an invaluable tool in the armamentarium of modern medicine to provide safe and effective control of pain and discomfort for both surgical and non-surgical cases.
