Epidural Block
Epidural block (or epidural anesthesia) is a medical procedure wherein a local anesthetic, steroid, or opioid medication is injected into the epidural space in the spine to reduce pain in a specific area of the body, such as the lower back. This procedure is commonly used to provide pain relief during labor and delivery, as well as to treat chronic back pain, lower limb pain, and post-operative pain. An epidural block is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive method of reducing pain. It allows patients to remain alert and comfortable, while still achieving pain-relieving effects.
