Tosyllysine Chloromethyl Ketone

Tosyllysine chloromethyl ketone (TCMK) is a chemical compound used to modify proteins in research and industrial applications. It is a cross-linking agent used to introduce covalent bonds between lysine residues of proteins, so as to form covalent dimers. By modifying proteins in this manner, TCMK enables researchers to study the structure and physiological roles of proteins in various organisms and cells. Additionally, TCMK is used as a modulating component in industrial enzyme immobilization and polymerization, which can increase the activity, stability, and selectivity of proteins and enzymes. Thus, TCMK is a useful and versatile tool for biochemistry and protein engineering applications.
