Interstitial Fluid

Interstitial fluid is a type of tissue fluid found in the spaces between the cells of all tissues. It is important for delivering essential nutrients and hormones to the cells, removing metabolic wastes, and providing structural integrity and cushioning. Interstitial fluid also serves as a medium for transporting cells and materials between the different layers of tissue. It is essential for normal metabolic activity in the body and any disruption of the interstitial environment can lead to a range of diseases.
