Rhinitis, Allergic

Allergic rhinitis is a type of inflammation of the nasal passages, caused by an allergen. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, nasal itching, congestion, and watery eyes. Treatment usually involves avoidance of the allergen, as well as the use of medications such as antihistamines, corticosteroids, and decongestants. Allergic rhinitis can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life, and it is important to identify and manage any underlying allergic conditions to reduce suffering.
