Rhinitis

Rhinitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nose and is a common condition affecting millions of people worldwide. It can be caused by allergies, infections, or other irritants in the environment such as mold, dust mites, cigarette smoke, and perfumes. Symptoms of rhinitis include runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, and post-nasal drip. If left untreated, it can lead to sinusitis and other disease complications. Treatment approaches include avoiding known triggers, medications such as antihistamines and steroid sprays, and allergen immunotherapy. Effective management of rhinitis can improve quality of life, reduce symptom burden, and prevent long-term complications.
