Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a common skin condition that causes red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. It usually affects the elbows, knees, and scalp, but can occur anywhere on the body. Psoriasis is a long-term condition that can cause significant physical and psychological distress, and even lead to serious medical complications such as joint damage and heart problems. Treatment options are available to help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life. These include topical medications, phototherapy, and systemic immunosuppressive drugs. Psoriasis is a complex condition and careful management with a healthcare provider is recommended.
