Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

Pediatric Allergy and Immunology is a specialized field of medicine dedicated to understanding and treating allergic and immune system diseases in children. This field focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of allergic conditions, asthma, and immunologic deficiencies. It seeks to identify, understand, and treat the underlying causes of allergic and immunologic diseases in children. In addition to providing medical care, pediatric allergy and immunology specialists also educate families, schools, and communities about allergy prevention and treatment. Improved diagnosis and treatments of allergic and immunologic diseases have been shown to improve quality of life for children and their families.
