Dust Allergy
Dust allergy is an allergic reaction to particles of dust, caused by the inhalation or contact with allergens in dust. Symptoms may include sneezing, runny nose, itching eyes, and watery eyes. In severe cases, people may experience coughing, chest tightness, and difficulty breathing. Treatment of dust allergy includes taking medications such as antihistamines, avoiding exposure to dust, and using dust-proof covers for pillows, mattresses and furniture. Dust allergy is one of the most common forms of allergies and affects people of all ages. Allergens from dust mites and other environmental sources can trigger allergies and asthma. Proper prevention and treatment strategies are important to reduce the frequency and severity of the allergic reactions.
