Clinical Immunology
Clinical Immunology is a field of medicine focused on the study of the human immune system. It involves diagnosing and treating diseases in which the immune system is either over or underactive. It involves understanding the mechanisms that trigger the body's immune response and how this response interacts with the environment. Clinical immunology also plays an essential role in understanding the pathophysiology of immunological diseases, such as allergies and autoimmune disorders, and finding treatments for them. Clinical immunology also assists in diagnosing and managing immunodeficiency states and diseases caused by infections or other environmental agents.
