Asthma
Asthma is a chronic condition of the lungs in which airways become inflamed and narrowed, causing difficulty breathing. It is a serious and sometimes life-threatening health concern that affects people of all ages. Symptoms may include wheezing, cough, chest tightness and difficulty breathing. Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases, affecting over 250 million people globally. With proper management, many people with asthma can achieve good control of their symptoms and lead active and healthy lives. Treatment typically involves inhaled medications to reduce inflammation of the airways, along with lifestyle modifications to reduce triggers of asthma flare-ups.
