Antihistamines

Antihistamines are medications used to treat a wide range of allergic reactions. They work by blocking the body’s production of histamine, a compound that causes symptoms such as sneezing and itchy eyes. These drugs can reduce or eliminate the unpleasant symptoms associated with allergies, such as congestion, runny nose, watery eyes, and hives. Antihistamines are also used to treat conditions such as hay fever, chronic urticaria, and motion sickness. They are available in both prescription and over-the-counter forms, depending upon the severity and duration of the symptoms.
