Sleep Disorders
Sleep disorders are a group of medical conditions that affect the ability of a person to sleep normally. These disorders can cause disruptions in sleep patterns, difficulty sleeping, or excessive sleepiness during the day. Common sleep disorders include insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, and restless legs syndrome. These disorders can have a significant impact on quality of life by causing fatigue, concentration problems, and overall poorer health. Treatment of sleep disorders often includes lifestyle changes, behavior modification, medication, and other therapies. Treatment helps to relieve symptoms and improve the quality of life for those living with sleep disorders.
