Disease Parkinson's Disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects movement, muscle control, and balance. It is caused by the death of dopamine-producing cells in the brain, leading to tremor, stiffness, and difficulty with balance, walking and coordination. The most common treatment is medication to replace dopamine, such as L-DOPA. Other therapies can focus on symptom management and improving quality of life. Parkinson's Disease can be a challenging condition to manage, but with proper treatment and lifestyle adjustments, people with Parkinson's Disease can lead long and fulfilling lives.
