Novel Therapeutic Strategies for Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of epilepsy aim to provide improved management of the condition, while minimizing the risks associated with existing treatments. Such strategies include dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, medication, and surgical interventions. All of these therapies can help to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures, as well as improve the overall quality of life of those affected by epilepsy. In addition, novel therapeutic strategies are being developed to target the underlying cause of the disorder, such as the genetic causes, thus providing more complete long-term solutions for managing epilepsy.
