Nervous System Diseases
Nervous system diseases are a group of disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and/or peripheral nerves, leading to changes in physical, mental, and/or behavioural functioning. These conditions include a wide range of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. While some nervous system diseases can be managed with lifestyle changes, others require more intensive treatment. In cases of severe nervous system diseases, medications, physical or occupational therapy, surgery, and psychological support can be used to help improve symptoms, functioning, and quality of life. It is important to recognize the significance of proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of nervous system diseases to improve overall health, quality of life, and patient outcomes.
