Clinical Neuropsychology
Clinical neuropsychology is a field of study that focuses on understanding the behavioural and cognitive effects of brain disorders. Neuropsychologists assess and diagnose various neurological disorders and disabilities, such as stroke, brain tumours, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. They use a variety of tests and assessments to evaluate a patient's mental status and cognitive functioning. By studying the effects of neurological problems on the patient's ability to think, reason, and remember, neuropsychologists are able to develop effective treatments and interventions for improving the quality of life of patients. Neuropsychology can also be used in research to further our understanding of neurological diseases and to develop treatments. In addition, neuropsychology can be used in educational and clinical settings to assess cognitive aspects of learning and behaviour.
