American Epilepsy Society

The American Epilepsy Society (AES) is a professional medical organization devoted to promoting a better understanding of epilepsy and its treatments through educational sessions, groups, and networking. Founded in 1948, AES is the world's oldest and largest medical association dedicated to the study, treatment, and prevention of epilepsy. AES members are dedicated to developing new therapies and treatments for the disorder, and their research has led to an increased understanding of epilepsy, as well as a greater ability to diagnose, control, and treat the condition. The organization also provides numerous resources to patients and their families, such as support group meetings, education and training sessions, resources for managing seizures, and advocacy initiatives. AES is committed to improving the lives of those affected by epilepsy and is a leader in advancing epilepsy research, treatment, and education.
