Respiratory Failure
Respiratory failure is a life-threatening medical condition in which the lungs are unable to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide effectively. It can occur due to various reasons, such as infection, allergic reaction, trauma, and underlying chronic diseases like COPD. Symptoms of respiratory failure include difficulty breathing, rapid breathing, and feeling tired or weak. Treatment involves the use of oxygen and artificial ventilation, as well as other supportive therapies. Early detection and timely interventions to treat the underlying cause are important for the successful management of respiratory failure and improved quality of life.
