Oncology Nursing

Oncology nursing is a type of nursing focused on providing medical care to individuals with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Oncology nurses play a critical role in the treatment and care of cancer patients. They provide emotional support, manage symptoms and side effects of cancer treatments, and coordinate care with doctors and other healthcare professionals. Oncology nurses also provide education to patients, family members, and members of the community about cancer detection and prevention, treatment options, and available support services. Oncology nurses are vital in helping individuals with cancer and their families navigate the cancer care process.
