Mood Disorders
Mood disorders, also known as affective disorders, are a group of mental health conditions that cause persistent and intense feelings of sadness, hopelessness, irritability and/or worthlessness. These feelings can interfere with daily activities and quality of life, and can also be accompanied by physical symptoms, such as fatigue and changes in appetite. Mood disorders can range from mild to severe, and are often treated with medication and psychotherapy. They are one of the most common mental health conditions, affecting people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Proper diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders can help those affected to manage their symptoms and lead a healthy, meaningful life.
