Environmental Health
Environmental health is the study of how the environment affects the health of humans, animals, and plants. It looks at natural and human-made threats to well-being and health, including air and water quality, pollution, climate change, food safety, and exposure to hazardous substances. Environmental health seeks to protect and improve the public health by assessing and monitoring the health risks of man-made and natural substances and activities, pursuing action to reduce or eliminate those risks, and informing the public of their health and environmental hazards. By understanding and managing environmental health risks, we can work to reduce harm to people, animals, and the environment.
