Clinical Neurology
Clinical neurology is the medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system. It involves the study of the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the normal and abnormal nervous system and its related diseases. Neurologists are specially trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, migraine, dementia, and movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease. The goal of clinical neurology is to help patients improve their quality of life by managing their neurological conditions. Neurologists work closely with other healthcare professionals such as primary care doctors, surgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, physical therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
