Ovulation Induction
Ovulation induction is an assisted reproductive technology used to help women conceive. It involves stimulating a woman's body to release an egg from her ovary. This is done by introducing hormones into her body, such as human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and/or gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), or by administering oral or injectable medications such as clomiphene citrate (Clomid). The goal of ovulation induction is to increase the chances of pregnancy by helping women to produce more eggs and increasing their chances of fertilization. It is commonly used for women who have difficulty conceiving due to ovulatory dysfunction or other conditions that prevent ovulation. Additionally, ovulation induction can be used to improve the timing and chances of successful embryo transfer.
