Network Pharmacology
Network pharmacology is a new, interdisciplinary approach to the study of drug action. It combines systems biology, network biology, and pharmacology to analyze the complex interaction between drugs and their targets. Using this emerging approach, scientists can better understand how drugs work and how they interact with multiple biological systems. Network pharmacology is increasingly being used to develop new and more effective drugs and to inform clinical decision-making. It can also help to identify new drug targets, as well as biomarkers to identify disease-associated pathways and predict drug efficacy. This approach can improve drug development and help to reduce adverse drug reactions. The potential of network pharmacology to improve drug development, clinical decision-making, and healthcare outcomes is considerable and is becoming increasingly important.
