Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer

(GIFT) Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT) is an assisted reproductive technology that involves transferring eggs and sperm, as gametes, directly into the fallopian tubes of the female partner. This procedure is used to treat infertility that is caused due to problems with ovulation. It is a viable treatment option for couples who have had difficulty conceiving despite trying other assisted reproductive treatments. GIFT has been proven to increase the chances of pregnancy and can be a successful alternative to in vitro fertilization (IVF). In addition, it is a relatively safe procedure, with few associated risks.
