Capacity Development
Capacity development is the process of increasing the capacity of individuals, organizations, or societies to meet their established goals and objectives. It is an important concept in the fields of public health, education, and international development and is used to refer to the efforts to empower individuals, organizations, and societies by providing them with the educational and technical resources necessary to achieve their goals. Capacity development efforts aim to build organizational, administrative, and technical skills, as well as to promote cooperation, coordination, and participation. Capacity development activities help people and organizations work together to create and sustain economic, social, and environmental progress.
