Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a skin condition characterized by the loss of pigment, resulting in white patches on the skin. It affects about 1-2% of the population worldwide, with a higher prevalence in certain parts of the world. It can affect any part of the body and usually starts as one or two small, white patches that may grow in size and spread over time. It is estimated to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, although the exact cause is unknown. Treatment options include topical medications, light therapy, and surgery, although there is no cure. Vitiligo can cause psychological distress and lead to social stigma in some cases, making it important to diagnose and treat the condition early.

Immunity means being protected from something and being unaffected or not bothered by it. There are two main types of immunity: innate, also called natural or inherited, and adaptive. Our immune system protects us and helps fight off disease. Microorganisms, small microscopic organisms, and viruses are everywhere.
