Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a long-term skin condition that causes red and scaly patches to form on the skin. It is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disease that affects the skin, nails, and joints. Psoriasis is associated with a range of uncomfortable symptoms, including itching, burning, and pain. Treatment for psoriasis typically includes topical medications, phototherapy, and systemic medications, depending on the severity of the condition. In addition to treating the condition itself, psoriasis has also been linked to an increased risk of other health issues, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and metabolic syndrome. Psoriasis can be a difficult condition to manage and is often underdiagnosed. Early diagnosis and treatment can help to reduce the risk of long-term health complications.
