Pneumothorax
Pneumothorax is an often painful medical condition in which air accumulates in the space between the lungs and the chest wall, leading to a collapse of the lungs. It can be caused by trauma, a medical procedure, or a lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, or tuberculosis. Symptoms include chest pain and difficulty breathing. Treatment focuses on relieving the pressure and restoring normal lung function. Pneumothorax can be a life-threatening condition and prompt medical care is essential. Early diagnosis and treatment is important to prevent further complications.
