Pathology

Pathology is the medical science that studies the causes and effects of diseases and their effects on the body. It involves studying body tissue, organs and fluids to gain insight into the changes that occur in a person's body due to disease or injury. Pathology investigates the cause of the disease, how it spreads and how it can be treated. It is essential in helping to diagnose diseases and develop effective treatments. Pathology is also used to determine the cause of death in forensic investigations and can be used to monitor the effects of medical treatments.
